Lodge Type: Odd Fellows

Charter members of Vacaville Lodge #83 include some of the first residents and merchants of the town. Our Lodge has met in three lodge halls, the first two being lost to fires in 1877 and 1884. The original charter and other records were lost in the 1877 fire that destroyed the entire downtown area. We are a local chapter of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF), an international fraternity that promotes personal and social development through principles of fraternity and community service. IOOF Webster Lodge #24 was instituted on March 26, 1877. The current Lodge Hall was bought in 1998 and we moved from the 3rd floor to a one-level building that is handicap accessible. Mystery Rebekah Lodge#39 meets here as well. Our hall is available for use. Current users are the Cub Scouts, Goffstown Junior Baseball, CERT, American Legion, and the Red Cross for Blood Drives.

Western Star Lodge #81 was founded in October 1871. In June 2024, we sold our building at 413 State Street and moved to 404 State Street. This move includes Augusta LEA #23, Augusta Encampment #23, Augusta Justice Canton #32, Augusta Western Star #81, and Augusta Rebekahs #350, all of which are active.
