Lodge Type: Odd Fellows

The Encampment branch aims to further the work of Odd Fellowship and impart the principles of Faith, Hope, and Charity. In the United States and Canada, membership in the Encampment is open for men and women holding the third degree in the Odd Fellows Lodge.

Odd Fellows lodges engage in various activities, such as helping the sick, supporting the distressed, educating orphans, and participating in charitable projects tailored to the needs of our local communities. Members are encouraged to develop personally by progressing through lodge degrees, which symbolize their growth within the organization. Overall, Odd Fellows lodges focus on fostering goodwill, harmony, and mutual aid among people.

True Fellowship Lodge #52 took its name in 1963 upon the consolidation of True Fellowship #238 and Santa Clara #52. It traces its origin back to January 10, 1856 when Santa Clara #52 was chartered in the city of Santa Clara. The members moved into the current building after their previous one was seized through eminent domain. The Independent Order of Odd Fellows was founded in Baltimore Maryland on April 26th, 1819 by Thomas Wildey and four associates. Our Order will celebrate its 206th birthday this year. Yet many folks have never even heard of us. Our lodge was Instituted on 9 December 2023 with nine (9) Charter Members. Union Lodge #16 was chartered on March 15th 1846 in St.Catharines Ontario, and has been meeting ever since. We still meet Monday's at 7pm at our 3rd lodge hall that was built in 1924. Please contact us if you have any questions, or if you feel that you would like to join our lodge.
