The Occidental Encampment #9 is a higher branch in the Independent Order of Odd Fellows whose aim is to further the work of Odd Fellowship and impart the principles of Faith, Hope, and Charity.

The Ocean View Lodge No. 143 was founded in Half Moon Bay in 1868, making it one of the oldest operating organizations on the California Coastside.
