Jefferson Lodge No. 38, was founded in 1904. We are a local group doing good in our community, and part of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. We have fundraisers and a food bank for local people in need. We are not a long-term charity, but we help when some short-term situation means a family might get their power shut off or can't put food on the table this week.

We are a local chapter of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF), an international fraternity that promotes personal and social development through principles of fraternity and community service. The North Carolina Grand Encampment is the governing body for the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Encampments in North Carolina. Membership is open to all Third Degree members in good standing. The branch aims to further the work of Odd Fellowship and impart the principles of Faith, Hope, and Charity. Raleigh Canton #2 PM The Patriarchs Militant is the uniformed branch of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, established in 1885. It represents the highest degree within the IOOF, focusing on ceremonial and fraternal activities. Patriarchs Militant lodges are referred to as Cantons. Sometimes the Patriarchs Militant is referred to as “the Canton”, due to the Canton being the name used instead of “Lodge”.
