The Odd Fellows of Shelter for Mankind aims to build a shelter that contributes to the holistic development of disadvantaged families. Its enduring goal is to provide a sense of home, hope, and holistic development in their community in friendship, love, and truth.
Star/Orphans Hope Lodge No. 182, in Martinsville, Ohio, was established on May 3rd, 1851, by J. B. Thomas. The Charter Members were: Caleb Stephen Parker, Samual Hiatt, Daniel Rizer, Jacob Glenn, Levi Pike, John Devis, Chambers Hiatt, Ed Bond, and David A. Thompson. We meet in the basement of the Massasoit Hall in historic downtown Strasburg. The lodge entrance is located at the rear of the building and there is a large parking area for all visitors.
Lodge Has Closed. Records indicate that Taft Lodge was chartered in 1911. Their lodge hall was erected in 1939. No additional information is available about Taft Lodge at this time.
