IOOF Webster Lodge #24 was instituted on March 26, 1877. The current Lodge Hall was bought in 1998 and we moved from the 3rd floor to a one-level building that is handicap accessible. Mystery Rebekah Lodge#39 meets here as well. Our hall is available for use. Current users are the Cub Scouts, Goffstown Junior Baseball, CERT, American Legion, and the Red Cross for Blood Drives.
The West Virginia Grand Encampment is the governing body for the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Encampments in West Virginia. Membership is open to all Third Degree members in good standing. The branch aims to further the work of Odd Fellowship and impart the principles of Faith, Hope, and Charity. Ladies Encampment Auxiliary aims to further the work of Odd Fellowship and impart the principles of Faith, Hope, and Charity. In the United States and Canada, membership in the Encampment is open for men and women holding the third degree in the Odd Fellows Lodge. Traditionally, however, the Ladies Encampment Auxiliary (L.E.A.) and Grand Ladies Encampment Auxiliary (GLEA), were formed for women who are members of a Rebekah Lodge in good standing.
The Patriarchs Militant is the uniformed branch of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, established in 1885. It represents the highest degree within the IOOF, focusing on ceremonial and fraternal activities. Patriarchs Militant lodges are referred to as Cantons. Sometimes the Patriarchs Militant is referred to as “the Canton”, due to the Canton being the name used instead of “Lodge”.
