Ringgold Lodge #27 as charted in 1845. Named after Major Samuel Ringgold who was killed at the Battle of Palo Alto, the first officer killed in the first battle of the Mexican-American War, serving under (future president) Zachary Taylor. We meet every Friday night at 7:30. On the second and fourth Fridays, we have Encampment meetings after the regular lodge meeting. We are on the second floor, above the "Frugal Frog" store and next to the Ripley Library.

Established on September 20, 1851, the Rebekahs, also known as the International Association of Rebekah Assemblies (IARA), and originally the Daughters of Rebekah is an international service-oriented organization and a branch of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. It was initially designed as the female auxiliary of the IOOF but now allows both female and male members.
