Morning Star Lodge #26 was established in 1844 by H. G. Blake. We are a local chapter of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF), an international fraternity that promotes personal and social development through principles of fraternity and community service. The Rebekahs, also known as the International Association of Rebekah Assemblies (IARA), an international service-oriented organization and a branch of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. We were initially designed as the female auxiliary of the IOOF but now allow both female and male members.

Star/Orphans Hope Lodge No. 182, in Martinsville, Ohio, was established on May 3rd, 1851, by J. B. Thomas. The Charter Members were: Caleb Stephen Parker, Samual Hiatt, Daniel Rizer, Jacob Glenn, Levi Pike, John Devis, Chambers Hiatt, Ed Bond, and David A. Thompson.
