Serving North Portland since 1894, Peninsula Lodge is an active and integral part of the community. Most members are in their 30s and 40s. The lodge operates as a co-op community center offering martial art, dance, music, and theater classes. All instructors are members of the lodge. Outside rentals are not allowed, but non-profits, schools, and government agencies may use the building for free. We do things differently, as we work to Keep Portland Odd.

Fun Facts:IOOF lodges use “tracing boards,” illustrated charts with symbols like the heart-in-hand and skull, to teach moral lessons during rituals, helping members visualize the order’s values of sincerity and justice.
