The Grand Lodge of Washington is the governing body for the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in Washington. The Grand Lodge oversees the local lodges within its jurisdiction, ensuring they adhere to the principles and regulations of the IOOF. Buckley Encampment #40 was originally chartered in the 1890s and has served the needs of Odd Fellows looking for further instruction and enlightenment ever since. We meet to enrich the experience of being Odd Fellows with the perspective of the Patriarchal branch.
Buckley Lodge #75 was chartered in 1890 to serve the people of the town of Buckley. Now we serve all of East Pierce and King Counties, with members coming from all over those areas to join in the fellowship of our lodge.
Eola Rebekah Lodge was chartered in 1891 and has been a fixture in the Buckley community ever since. Our lodge has produced many Presidents of the Rebekah Assembly of Washington and has sponsored Theta Rho Clubs for many years, including our own Spunky Bluebirds Theta Rho Club #93.
The Patriarchs Militant (PM) is the uniformed branch of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, established in 1885. It represents the highest degree within the IOOF, focusing on ceremonial and fraternal activities. Patriarchs Militant lodges are referred to as Cantons. Sometimes the Patriarchs Militant is referred to as “the Canton”, due to the Canton being the name used instead of “Lodge”.
The Washington Grand Encampment is the governing body for the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Encampments in Washington. Membership is open to all Third Degree members in good standing. The branch aims to further the work of Odd Fellowship and impart the principles of Faith, Hope, and Charity. In the United States and Canada, membership in the Encampment is open for men and women holding the third degree in the Odd Fellows Lodge.
