Margaret Winthrop Rebekah Lodge #153 was instituted April 24, 1899 and is a local chapter of the Rebekahs, also known as the International Association of Rebekah Assemblies (IARA), an international service-oriented organization and a branch of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. We were initially designed as the female auxiliary of the IOOF but now allow both female and male members. Mariposa Lodge, No. 39, has been part of the Mariposa community since 1855. They even have an Odd Fellows Cemetery nearby!
