Minnesota - Grand Encampment

The Minnesota Grand Encampment was Instituted June 7, 1871 and is the governing body for the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Encampments in Minnesota. At our 2025 session, it was agreed to change our annual meeting to the first Saturday of October. This was done to encourage younger members to participate by avoiding the conflicting time of the traditional MEA long weekend.

Grand Encampment Mission Statement: To give the encampments of the jurisdiction of Minnesota the opportunity to meet together to help strengthen their dedication to their part of the Order. Also to instruct the members in maintaining a working encampment, gain membership and most of all have "FUN".

The branch aims to further the work of Odd Fellowship and impart the principles of Faith, Hope, and Charity. A revival is in process, as newer members are coming on board to understand that the lessons of the Encampment is vital to becoming a complete Odd Fellow. Membership is open to all Third Degree members in good standing from an Odd Fellows lodge.

Join an Encampment near you! or better yet rekindle your existing charter in your area. Rallies will be scheduled as needed to obtain Patriarchal, Golden Rule, and Royal Purple Degrees.
