One program we are especially proud of is our ODD SAINT NICK PROGRAM.
The Odd Saint Nick Program was created in 2015 to provide quality Christmas presents to local children whose families are experiencing financial hardships. The program is operated by a crew of dedicated volunteers at Odd Fellows North Point #4, and it is funded through several annual charity events that we host, including Odd Fest, Charity Chili Cook-Off, Paint Events, and the generous donations of local businesses and private individuals. Here is what sets us apart from other similar Christmas charities:
Personalized Approach – We believe that all children deserve to experience the joy and the magic of a visit from Santa Claus, even if their families are struggling. So when families come to us for assistance, we obtain their children's own Christmas wish lists, and do our best to fulfill them, including sometimes even acquiring more rare or expensive items through donations or private sellers. We then deliver all the items to parents and guardians in secret so their children wake up to a wonderful surprise on Christmas morning!
No Waste – Odd Fellows North Point #4 is a fraternal nonprofit charity organization that is completely operated by unpaid volunteers. All funds raised for Odd Saint Nick are earmarked and kept separate from our general fund, and the lodge itself absorbs all operating costs. So when you donate to Odd Saint Nick, you can rest assured that 100% of your money will be used to buy presents and other needed items, like clothing and food, and not a cent will be used to pay for salaries, advertising or any operational expenses.
The demand for our services is greater than ever and keeps growing. We provided presents to over 150 children in 2023. We take pride in the fact that we have never turned down a family who has come to us for assistance, and with so many families struggling to make ends meet, we would hate to start now. So we're relying on your generosity to help us continue spreading the magic of Santa Claus to as many children in our community as possible!
All business donors will receive recognition at all of our events, and on all social media platforms through our promotional campaigns. Your donations are tax-deductible, and receipts are available upon request!
