Albert Pike Lodge #33
Albert Pike Lodge No. 33, otherwise known as Albert Pike Odd Fellows Lodge No. 33, is an odd fellows lodge under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Independent Order of Odd Fellows of the Philippines.
The lodge was named after the illustrious Albert Pike (December 29, 1809 – April 2, 1891) an American author, poet, orator, editor, lawyer, jurist and confederate general who served as an Associate Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court in exile from 1864 to 1865. He had previously served as a senior officer of the Confederate States Army, commanding the District of Indian Territory in the Trans-Mississippi Theater.
Unknown to many, Albert Pike first joined the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in 1840 before he joined a Masonic Lodge, where he became extremely active in the affairs of the latter organization.
Albert Pike became the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Arkansas of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows from 1852-1853.
