The Independent Order of Odd Fellows was founded in Baltimore Maryland on April 26th, 1819 by Thomas Wildey and four associates. Our Order will celebrate its 206th birthday this year. Yet many folks have never even heard of us. Our lodge was Instituted on 9 December 2023 with nine (9) Charter Members. Our Junior Lodges offer youth opportunities for personal and social development through events and programs that promote community service and leadership activities.

The Union Encampment #1 is a higher branch in the Independent Order of Odd Fellows whose aim is to further the work of Odd Fellowship and impart the principles of Faith, Hope, and Charity.
